Hey guys, im kind of confused on how transferring works. According to cornell’s transfer statistics, they took in 569 students in 2009 ([Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - HOW TO APPLY](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/classprofile.cfm)) Does this mean that there were 569 spots open? like in order for this to happen, 569 students must have left cornell at that time? or does the college keep more spots that it accepts through the regular decision process (IE getting accepted in freshman year)?

also, about how many students every year transfer out of cornell?
