question about transferring to ivies

Looking back at some of the transfer threads of years past, I noticed a common trend: applicants who apply to all the ivies seem to get rejected/WL by most (if not all) of them, whereas applicants who apply to 2-3 Ivies end up faring better. Now I know that this correlation can be linked to the presumption that the applicant who applies to all Ivies did not have a good reason for transferring. But that aside, is there any other “reason” why this trend might exist? Or is it just me who is noticing this?

There’s a common myth that Ivies share admission information and ‘blackball’ those applying to multiple schools, but it is completely false: every application is individually addressed and considered irrespective of where else the applicant is interested.

A probable reason might be most of those people who apply to all the ivies are asians who have been brainwashed by their parents to attend an Ivy or else… You get the idea. It is so blatantly obvious in your essays when you don’t have a strong reason (any reason at all in their cases) why you want to enroll at that school. Plus, they are often lacking in EC’s due to their concentrating on academics, and receive TERRIBLE recs. Alot of times they try to just make stuff up and that often lands them in trouble, too. I’m Asian, and I was one of those people and thereby am very familiar with this ongoing situation, so don’t call me a racist/hater. I just realized this year how lacking and unprepared I was for college, and am trying my best to catch up with my colleagues in terms of quality of LIFE.
