Question about U Chicago

Do you think a 1450 (math + verbal or a 2140 total) and a 33 on the ACT is enough to get into the University of Chicago (JUST FOR TEST SCORES, OBVIOUSLY THERE ARE ACTIVITIES, ESSAY, RECOMMENDATIONS ETC.) By the way, I think they don’t look at the writing section of the SAT (according to Collegeboard).

Answer: Yes

thanks for the comment.

Anybody else have anything to say.

Of course your scores are good enough to be a competitive applicant to any school in the nation. As a sidenote, the figures shared by the Univ. of Chicago admissions website differ from those furnished to & published in USNews’ America’s Best Colleges. For example, for the class of 2011 Chicago admissions cites a mid-range of 1350-1510 SAT I math & verbal, while USNews published 1330-1530 mid-range SAT I scores for the same class.

Anybody ELSE have an idea

33 is enough for consideration, but that’s all it will get you. No test score puts you over the top at Chicago (and most test scores won’t eliminate you), so make sure you have excellent essays and recs.
