What if five people in a graduating class all have 4.0’s and are ranked 1 out of their class, who becomes valedictorian? What is the deciding factor?</p>
<p>For a lot of schools, they just make all five people valedictorians.</p>
<p>They pick the best looking one and have her make the graduation speech.</p>

<p>At our school, they all become valedictorians but only one person is selected to give the “val. speech” at graduation. They usually pick the most charismatic/friendly person to do that bit.</p>
<p>At my school they would all be vali’s and the speeches would have a time limit placed on them. We graduate in June and will have like ten vali’s and like five sali’s. Needless to say it will be a long and tedious ceremony.</p>
