Question about waitlist

Hello, is it recommended to submit additional information. I already submitted a LOCI in the first one but I got another email asking if I want to remain on the waitlist.

No

As did everyone else. Just let them know, yes or no.

Not everyone got that second email. Wondering what it means.

Do you know others?

In the end, if you are asked a question, answer it.

Perhaps it means they want to come to you but don’t want to waste days so they are asking in advance if they should do so.

Perhaps it means nothing.

Only one way to find out - answer Yes (if interested).

Good luck.

I see …well it might mean then (maybe not) that OP will be offered a spot. Or perhaps it just hasn’t gotten to you yet.

It sounds like they are firming up the wait list before drawing on it. Given that WL is a deferred decision sounds like a good sign that they want to confirm your interest. Stay hopeful.

God alone knows if it is a good sign or a bad sign :frowning:

No point to think about it.

You have a school you are committed to right?

Until you get an acceptance off a WL, you’ve been not accepted, rejected - however, you want to see it.

The school sent you a note and said - at this time, you have not been admitted.

You’ve moved on.

They are playing games.

  1. They used you as a insurance policy for them.

  2. If they’re asking, do you still want to stay on, they are seeking to find someone who will accept so they can offer less spots and move quicker - again, doing things to benefit them moreso than you. If it was benefit to you, they’d offer if they needed you without an indication ?

Stay excited about where you’ve committed to…until you have reason not to.

Good luck.
