<p>What cell phone providers have good coverage in the Olin area?</p>
<p>We currently use a regional provider who would be roaming 100% of the time, so we’re thinking about transferring my daughter’s phone to a different company for college.</p>
<p>My son has Sprint which works well. Their plan is great b/c it is one price for everything. The students have their laptops with them almost all the time so if they are not communicating face-to-face (strange, I know), they communicate thru their laptops. We actually Skype way more often than talk by phone (we don’t text). It is the best invention EVER. Phone, text, Skype usage maybe differ very significantly by gender. I have a non-chatty son.</p>
<p>My son’s Verizon phone does not work very well on the Olin campus. In general Verizon seems to be not as good as Sprint… but he thinks it will be ok once he swaps his especially quirky phone next month. I’ll try to report back then. </p>
<p>Skype is great! We finally did a Skype with video recently. Usually we just do typing or audio.</p>
