Question for 750 or higher in a subject students

After taking the SAT, did you know that you aced (or got a very high score) on a particular question immediately after you took the test? Also, how did it feel while taking the test? Did you practice until every question was “too easy”. I want to know what it feels like to get an 800, and how you know that you have a good chance at it.

Thanks

I can only comment on the Writing as of right now (although I pray it will be for all three sections after March scores come out). I got a 790 on that section, with -1 MC and an 11 essay. While taking the test, I felt pretty confident that my answers were right, nothing made me slow my pace down at all. I must have made a stupid error, because like I said, nothing jumped out as being difficult. Maybe others have their perspectives from the other two sections?

For math its just not doing the stupid mistakes and missing the easy ones. Pretty much all of it you already know. Only ones that may give you trouble are 19,20. And eventually those can be solved elimination. Typically you want to do 1-18 within 10 minutes (Or however many in some short amount of time) and be consistent on that. Then for the ones that give you trouble, leave yourself enough time to reason the problem out eliminating false choices.

So it seems like you should just practice until you are very confident.

^yes. Do that.

^yes, agree

I can’t attest to much, maybe because I didn’t prepare as extensively as some of my other peers? But after I took the March SAT I didn’t think it went that well, and I’d actually gotten stuck on quite a few CR questions (4-5 of them). I somehow got a 2400 :stuck_out_tongue: So I had no idea I aced it and I wasn’t feeling very confident at all, but listen to the other posters! This was my second time taking it, so I was already familiar with the test. Taking practice tests can confer the same advantage unto you. The key to getting a high score is just to keep practicing (: good luck!
