Question for Alumns - Where do you go to pay back loans?

So I want to hurry up and get those loan payments over with, but after some searching I’m not exactly sure where to go. I’ve found 2 sites through the finaid page that seem to offer payment, but I’m unsure if one is more legit than the other. mygreatlakes.org and myedaaccount.com. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m not sure why they make things so hard to figure out…

If you are talking about federal student loans, the payment process depends on your loan servicer.

This may depend, but I think Berkeley/the government recently (as in within the last year) changed its provider to Great Lakes. I’ve already started paying off my loans on there, but FYI is takes like 3-4 business days to process. If you sign into myedaccount it should have a zero balance. If it doesn’t, start paying it off there. Before the change, I also started paying off my loans on myedaccount, and the credits transferred over to Great Lakes.
