Question for those who have a good vocab/ are good with grammar?

I am trying to talk about someone who does little things, but things that mean a lot to others. My current phrasing is quite awkward and I am trying to fix it up a bit. What I have now is “She would do things that she considered very small but that others really appreciated.” To me that sounds really awkward.

The reason I am posting on this board is because I figure most of your pre-law guys are eloquent english/ speech/ humanities majors. I fear that my years of studying bio in college have eroded my writing skills a bit :p

“While she considers her actions to be only small gestures, others appreciate them more than she realizes.”

Hey, thanks!
