Okay, at my private school, we have “advanced” classes which can be taken senior year. I know that our Spanish III and Spanish IV classes are AP, although they arent called AP. Senior year, I will have Spanish IV, Calculus, Adv. Chem, Adv. Physics, Astronomy and Adv. Bio as my “advanced classes.” Today, while in the Biology room, i saw on the Adv. Bio teacher’s Bio book, which was black, that tit said “AP” on it. Is this, and perhaps the others (except astronomy) AP preparatory? I will ask the teachers, but I was just wondering what you thought.

Most schools tend to herald the fact that they offer AP classes, so I would imagine that you would be informed of the fact that the courses you plan on taking are, in fact, AP courses. Unless “Advanced” is a shortened version of “Advanced Placement,” I would imagine that your courses are just advanced, and not necessarily AP classes. However, it is highly possible that I’m wrong, so you should definitely ask your teachers.
