Question on Freshman Direct Admission

I was wondering which majors UW offers freshman direct admission for?

Can’t find an actual list… but here’s some info:

From FAQ ([FAQ About DFA — University of Washington - washington.edu](http://www.washington.edu/discover/leadership/provost/DFA-FAQ/#program))
Do any units at the UW directly admit freshmen already?
Yes. Three units currently admit freshman directly into their programs. The School of Business enrolls hundreds of DFA students every autumn. Some departments in the College of Engineering enroll DFA students. Additionally, the School of Music and other performance-oriented degree programs employ DFA based heavily on artistic performance during required auditions.

So…Foster school of business (business admin), some engineering (I’ve seen CSE, EE, ChemE, BIOE, bioe isn’t every year though, and there may be more engineering depts with DFA), and some music/performing arts degrees.

That was very helpful! Thank you, speedsolver!!

No problem. Do you have any majors that you’re considering right now?

Yes, I do. As an incoming freshman this fall, I’ve been considering Political Science and LSJ (Laws, Societies and Justice). Do you have any advice?

If you major in LSJ, take any class with Jonathan Wender. Amazing professor.

Great, I’ll keep that professor in mind! Thank you, travelgirl!
