Question on Graduation Requirements (Intl Student applying to BS)

Hi! I have a question regarding my eligibility for admission to The Masters School (NY) for 11th grade. It is the only school I applied to for the 11th grade; for the rest, I applied to repeat the 10th grade. However, the school’s graduation requirements require students to complete three years of a foreign language, history and 2 subjects that are not offered by my curriculum provider. In my current homeschooling setup, I haven’t fulfilled any of these requirements. Do I still stand a chance to get accepted? I’m still relatively new to understanding how graduation requirements work, especially in US private schools. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! I’m also an 11th grade international applicant to Masters. I asked about the academic onboarding process during my interview and the way they explained it was that the graduation requirements differ depending on what grade you enter at.

Also they said that once you’re accepted (meaning it shouldn’t affect your chances of admission) they look at your transcript to see what you’ve done and what you need to do. So what’s likely to happen is that you’ll just need to do the full two years of those subjects.

I wouldn’t stress about it, good luck!

Thank you so much for this! I wish you the best of luck too!
