Question on Taft Application

<p>I am currently working on my application for Taft on the Gateways website. While looking through the application, I noticed that one of the required recommendations was a “Principal Recommendation.” It didn’t give any other specific instructions. I am also applying to two other boarding schools whose applications are very similar, but give you the choice to have a counselor or the principal write your recommendation. I was wondering whether Taft requires the principal to write the recommendation, or if I have the option of having a counselor write it, since I have a much stronger relationship with the latter, and have never had an actual conversation with the former.</p>

<p>I was told that they are basically looking for someone who is in a position “above” teacher status, so guidance counselor should be fine.</p>
