Question on the SAT Essay

I’m aware of the thread with the SAT Essay Archetypes, but it just came to me that thinking of big themes might help me get somewhere close to the real SAT prompt. So, I thought about religion. Can the Collegeboard ever ask an SAT prompt about religion? (since religion remains a predominant theme in the most famous literature)

Thanks.

I don’t think the SAT would ask about religion, but my advice for you (coming from a person who got a 12 essay, and 800 in writing) is to not try to guess what the prompt will be beforehand, but to come up with a catalogue of examples that could be molded into any prompt that they give you, so you are ready for anything.

Yeah, doubtful that the SAT would have religion in its prompt, as to remain secular. However, you could definitely use religion as one of your examples/perhaps some religious movement, if it pertains to the essay question

satman1111 has it right! Prepare a general response that you could adapt to any prompt

Civil rights leaders like Rosa Parks and Ella Baker work very well!
