Question on Ventures Scholars Program

<p>I’m thinking of applying for the program but according to the list of requirements you need at least a 18 on all sections of the PLAN exam (only pre-test I’ve taken) and a 3.0 GPA.</p>

<p>Is there a chance of getting accepting with:</p>

<p>Plan Test Results:
English: 21
Mathematics: 15
Reading: 22
Science: 21</p>

<p>I’m confident in my GPA since I have a pretty good one along with some honors courses and am also involved in ECs but I’m not sure how strict they are with the section scores. I hear its really helpful for getting scholarships so my interest in Ventures is completely high right now.</p>

<p>The website is pretty clear that they require at least an 18 in all sections. But you could always call them and ask, it never hurts.</p>

<p>Ventures is a nice to have because it gets you on the radar of the member colleges. However, for scholarships, it really depends on the schools you’re interested in. Because of the relatively low qualifying scores (compared to NHRP, Nat. Ach. and NM), it won’t be a big help at selective colleges.</p>
