Question: when Standford decision released?

I have learned that lots of other schools release their regular decisions on March 29 or March 30 by both mail and email. A thread in this site said that the Stanford decision would be given out on April 1? If that is a case, is it by mail or email. Thanks.

stanford decisions will be out on april 1 by email to evryone… and not online notification…

also … as of what i heard last and as of what they calll themself…
it is STANFORD and not STANDFORD
.

Welcome to admit.stanford.edu!

We have been working hard since October on a web project to highlight what makes Stanford so amazing and to give you an opportunity to meet current students and other students admitted to the Class of 2010! We are currently putting the finishing touches on the site and are looking forward to unveiling our creation on April 1, 2006 at 12:00 A.M. PST. We hope you will return to the site after its launch to experience all the exciting content we’ve put together for you, including bulletin boards, a chat room, student profiles, multimedia, and lots of information.

To access the site, you will need a SUNet ID and password. If you have not already created these, please click on the link below to get started now.

We’re counting down the days until April 1 (and hope you are, too)!

The Admit Weekend Web Team

Opooooos, I misspelled the Stanford to Standford. Sorry.

hmmm actually, those who applied SCEA received IDs to access Stanford’s site for the admissions results. Those emails notified the applicants that the results were coming soon, explained the online-system, gave the IDs etc.
So SCEAers didn’t get their results through email; they got their results online.
I’d imagine that it would be the same for RD.

Why does everyone misspell Stanford as Standford? You would think an applicant should be able to tell the difference.

results are through the application site. There will be a link to view your decision and when you click it a copy of a letter will be there…

lovetocamp, how the hell did you get an acceptable password for that thing. It is impossible.

im confused… are we supposed to get a SUNet ID before or after we are given our decision? Do we need this to check if we are accepted?

just use ur normal pass but try to type it out with numbers…

what do you mean normal pass? all i have is my 9-digit PIN number and my self-created password.

o haha sorry, i was referring to pimpthatthang’s post

ur sunet ID is given to u if u get accepted
to check ur admissions, they will send u an email the day the news is released, and the email will give u a link to where ur supposed to go
most likely it’ll be the applyourself site

thanks for the info.

STOP YOUR WORRYING. I got my envelope around the third or fourth of april. couldn’t ahve cared less. be chill, you’ll get in :-D.

What if I don’t have a password or anything because I didn’t apply online?

you wait then till they send your letter…

even if you applied on paper (and not online), the admissions office will send you an ID and password in two separate emails so you can access your decision online.
