Question Writing Contest

I came across this contest at PWN the SAT’s site:

[PWN the SAT: Instead of a weekend challenge, a contest.](http://blog.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2011/09/instead-of-weekend-challenge-contest.html)

and I thought that some CCers might want to participate, either at his site or right here.

The idea is that you can learn a lot about the SAT by writing your own problems. His contest ends Saturday, but there’s no deadline here.

So go ahead and invent your nastiest problems – but keep it real: try to capture the level and feel of a real SAT question. What better way to learn how to anticipate the sneaky curves of the SAT than inventing your own?

Thanks so much for the shout-out!

You’re exactly right: It’s not easy to write good questions, but if you can mimic the feel of the test, then you’re in a position to do VERY well on it. I wouldn’t recommend this as a way to start studying, but if you’re looking for a nice way to solidify your skills with the October test approaching, this might be a good way to do so.
