Hello CC universe! I’m currently enjoying summer right now but I have a few questions but I’m not sure where to post them.
I really enjoy high school and get a huge rush out of learning. The best part of my day is feeling satisfaction when I learn a new thing or think of a new question to ask my teachers or study online.
A little bit about myself: really excited about learning, very interested in learning physics (took the subject test a couple weeks ago), I am currently self studying physics right now, I am committed to track and field ( one of the slowest on varsity but very committed: was the track captain last year and one an award for my dedication), also I didn’t like chemistry this year and the class was one of the hardest classes on campus but I studied very hard and got an A second semester. I’m very excited about my GPA and very excited to study hard over the summer for physics and calculus. I really enjoy my classes and my teachers (I hope) enjoyed me as well. My question is: my parents want me to apply to big name schools like Stanford and caltech, etc. however I’m realistic and know those colleges are a very high reach and having visiting them know they’re not a fit for me. I really want to attend a college where I can expand my horizons and truly gain a deeper understanding of my values and grow my independence. Lastly I have been told that I have a very unique personality as I have a kind of in your face ackwardness and enthusiasm about me.
