Question

What do they mean by this
UCLA
SAT - Verbal Range (25-75%): 570-690
SAT - Math Range (25-75%): 600-720
TPR Projected Range SAT Writing: 610-690

It says 25-75% 570-690 for verbal
25-75% for 600-720 for math

Do they mean 25 to 75% of the people scored from 570 to 690 and the lower 25% had scores under 570 and other 25% had scores above 690 for verbal? Same thing goes for math?

May someone elaborate this piece of information?

The class I might stuggle is english 11 AP. Is it better to get a B in an AP course, or an A in a college prep course?
Do colleges like UC schools prefer a B in an AP course rather than an A in a regular/collegeprep course?

For the first part of your post, the 25%-75% is called the inter-quartile range. Say a university ranks all of their admits from order from lowest to highest; the 25th percentile has the low end score whereas the 75% percentile will have the higher score in the range.
