Question

What kind of SAT score do you need to get into the business school???

I’d say a 1200 (old scale) is a solid score for entrance, with other things being good (3.4+ GPA, decent ECs showing a good amount of participation, decent essay, a few honors/AP/Ib courses, etc.). If you want to be sure-fire, I’d say 1300-1350 would be sufficient. However, with the number of people admitted, there are a good range of scores, so the 1200 may well be sufficient. My friend got in with an 1120 or so, so SATs aren’t necessarily the surefire accept/deny digits to have.

Well I just finished my sophmore year, so I still have time to plan and study for my SAT’s. But do you know more of an accurate SAT score I should have, knowing my grades so far and EC’s??? I am also instate, and want to major in management.

Everything looks fine. I’d aim for 1300 if I were you (about 1850 new scale).

Do you know if it is easier to get in as a transfer than a freshman???

It used to be equal. However, GT’s retention rate has risen over the years, and I think it’s probably easier to get in via freshmen entrance.

The only reason I think it would be easier is because they only look at your college GPA. They dont look at your high school grades or your EC’s. The transfer application is only 2 pages long. They do ask for your SAT, but only for statistical purposes like it says on the transer application.
