I want to apply to Pepperdine early action. The final day of this is November 15. I am also taking the ACT again to improve my chances at the schools I apply to, and I’m pretty sure the earliest I can take it is October 27. So if I take the ACT on October 27, will the scores get back to me by November 15? And if they don’t is there a way to update the school with my new scores? Also, I’m just going to make sure, but when you get in to a school early action, you dont necessarily have to go to that school, right? Thanks in advance for your help.

There is an earlier ACT test date on September 15 (registration deadline is August 10)–<a href=“ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test”>ACT Registration | ACT Testing Dates | The ACT Test. You can take it then or on October 27. Regardless, you can still send your scores to Pepperdine when you register for the test. They’ll receive your scores directly from the ACT testing agency.

As for EA, no, you don’t have to go there if accepted. You have the opportunity to apply to other schools and compare financial aid offers. ED is another matter though, so make sure it’s EA if you have more than one college choice.
