Next year when i am a senior i’m going to be taking a class called portfolio prep. I also plan on applying ED to cornell. When is the latest I can hand in my portfolio? Is it the same date as when the app is due? Cause then I will only have taken 2 months of portfolio prep.

Any additional advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.

dont wait until next year when school starts to work on your portfolio. if you visit cornell and see the portfolios on display…those are examples of portfolios from those excepted. start working on your art NOW and then worry about putting them together later. they want to see art that isnt rushed…they can tell when you only work on a piece for 1 hour

it is actually due a lot earlier than the app. thats why applying for arch school is so intense. you actually have to have a portfolio review BEFORE nov 1 (when it is due) so you usually have to meet with an alum (or a school representative if you live close enough to cornell) when you have your interview.

dont wait until the last minute to turn in your portfolio either. it is a HUGE part of your application and you would hate to hear of complications with the mail a day before its due

ya its due the same day… wait no… its due like 10 days after… my app was due nov 1 and then port was due nov 10
