My most favorite teacher, I just found out, is applying to Yale Law School. He’s in his mid 20s and in his 5 years of teaching he’s had two kids be admitted to the college (I am one of the two), I am currently a senior in his class and next fall I will be matriculating there as I got in EA. I feel my teacher is truly one of a kind (sorry for the cliche) and I was wondering if it would be inappropriate for me to just send a letter to the law admissions department saying what I thought about him. I know, as I haven’t done anything and I’m just an admitted student, I have no real influence or anything, but do you think if I wrote a genuine letter explaining how I thought he was amazing it would help him at all? Or is that just a faux pas/ not going to help anything.

Thanks
