My school (in Connecticut) sends at least one kid per year to Yale…is this a coincidence? My school isn’t that competitive, but the top 10% has some incredibly smart and accomplished kids.

Any thoughts?

yea same in my school… the top 10% is freaking geniuses…
and our school has like 25 valevictorian so that ranks ME
whos salutatorian 26/520 instead of 2/520… it sucks.

i am applying to ea but reading all the stats of ea rejectee…
this is kinda (no very) scaring me that I am goin to pee in my pants.

i guess what i am trying to say is “i feel ya, bro”

uej

I wouldn’t get too nervous…the Ivies are essentially a crapshoot in most situations so to get rejected or deferred shouldn’t demoralize you. I am going to apply to Yale or Harvard just for the hell of it, and I don’t really expect to get in either school. Yeah, they are prestigious and wonderful institutions, but there are MANY other great schools out there that are easier to get into. Besides, once you get into the professional world, people don’t care where you went after your 2nd or 3rd job.
