Question

-Choose an issue impacting your high school, community, country or the world and why it is important to you.

I want to write about ‘Missing Children’, using the case of Zahra Baker as an example and the foundation for my concern. Would this still pertain to the topic and be a good idea? How many actually use the news to write their thoughts and perspective on it and actually succeed? I’m hoping I can demonstrate my feelings and other things about myself through this work but I’m concerned that this may not be able to express enough about me that will satisfy the admission officer.

Bad idea???

Well, why is it important to you? If it’s just really sad and can’t relate to your life other than that you find it horrible, keep looking. If it’ll speak more about you and your character or accomplishments, then it’s good.

How about it was like a “wake up” call, I’ve seen many sad things but this was such a big deal personally that it open me up. I think it will continue to forge who I will become, etc. I’ve always been the passive type not caring for things and my sight was more near and within my own circle, but this specific case made me want to see at a bigger range.
