Questiona about ELC

If you are selected for ELC, do you list this as an award/honor on the UC app or will they already know from your number?

Don’t list it as an award, it’s already on your app.

They’ll know for your number at the beginning of the app, put something else if possible

Alright, thanks a lot…next question:

I have a 1390 (670v720m) and I live in CA:

Should I retake this December (would be my 2nd retake, overall third test) or is the above score pretty good as a START for the UCs.

One more question: I took the SAT-II Spanish test alongside another SAT-II without thinking of the difficulty/curve and I completely bombed it (talking about sub 500s). However, I decided not to cancel the score because I would have to cancel both tests because, to me, that would be a complete waste of money. Will I be slaughtered?

Anyone? Thoughts, Comments, Feedback

i have 540v, 800m on one test, then 600v, 690m what should i do???do i have chance??? out of US.

Brandon, i would retake sat ii (since it’s worth double) than worry about the sat score. You should borrow/buy the real sat ii’s book and take a test to see how you score before taking the actual.

Newby, hard to say if you don’t mention sat ii’s.

I didn’t list Spanish (+ score) on the UC App as my 3rd SAT-II test. Instead, I listed Bio with its score ( 670 =( ) .

Will the fact that my extremely low Spanish score is still on my official report (though not listed on app b/c of space) hurt me in the long run? BTW, Spanish is not my first language.

they literally only see your highest scores…so don’t worry about ur spanish sat 2

Man, Berkeley is the only word my grandmother knows back in Japan lol. 750, 760, 700, 1500, 4.20 GPA, ELC, Waterpolo, Swimming, Science Club, Scholarship Awareness Club. In calc BC, idk if it really matters what math level u are in but. What do you think? hopeless?

Your scores seem decent. Pretty good in fact. The fact that you are Japanese might actually slightly help because there aren’t too many Japanese Americans at Berkeley.

I would say you have a 50/50 shot at Berkeley. It may come down to your GPA ranking at your high school.

Im #18 out of 401. Oh and my GPA is 4.269. Wee 0.69 more points :)

Oh and does going to the best school in my district amount to anything? I mean, do they care which school you graduate from cuz its harder to earn an A here than the other schools. It has a 819 score on the California test they give each year.

yes, everything is done in context, dont worry about going to a good school
