Hi all,
I want to ask a question about big four’s background investigation. Will every activities on the resume be checked? And if the company want to check them, will they ask the employee to provide a reference first?
Thanks a lot!

Has anyone who went through the background check process before been asked to provide reference to those activities?
Some things they will, some things they won’t. The key is; you don’t always know which they will and which they won’t. If you are found to have lied on your resume, you will instantly be rejected and if it happens after being hired, you will be fired most likely.
Not to assume you are guilty, but generally when people ask this, it’s cause they felt they have lied or been dishonest on their resume. I would forewarn you to just be as honest as possible throughout the process.
Usually these days, you can be sure that big 4 firms will check your education history. As for the other areas on your resume, it depends on how prestigious they are.
