im trying to apply early decision stanford and harvard regular action

can somebody use like a simile or an analogy to describe how difficult it is to get accepted to those colleges?
i know it’s hard but i can’t feel how difficult it is

having good grades (top 10 of school), sat scores (2200 or up), leadership in 3 to 4 extracurricular activities, decent number of volunteer and work experience, decent number of awards and good essay and recommendations
this is theoretical situation but
is that good enough for ivy leagues?
i can send you my achievements if u want to chance me

thx

Your grades/score/leadership standing is certainly good enough to apply. The main thing to understand is that many, many, many students with stats as good or better won’t get accepted. Some students with lower stats than yours will.

You just need to put together the strongest application you can, and make sure to apply to a range of schools. Stanford and Harvard would be reach schools. Find some more where you will stand a pretty good shot of getting in because your grades/scores/ECs put you in a good position compared to other admitted students. Also find at least one school where you are virtually certain you’d get accepted, that you can afford, and that you’d be happy to attend.

Stanford does not offer Early Decision, strictly speaking. They do have a non-binding single choice Early Action option though. Harvard is all regular decision. No problem with applying EA to Stanford and RD to Harvard. Just make sure to expand that list to include some schools with better odds!
