Im currently going to be a senior, I live by Chicago and plan on applying to Northwestern, and U of I Champaign… but the thing is that I do not want to stay here. I wanted to know if I could transfer out of them, after 2 years, and try to go to Brown, Columbia University, UCLA, or UC Berkley.
But what I wanted to know is that when I apply to colleges and financial aid, does that mean I have to stay there all 4 years, or can I transfer out later?

Also is there any good schools that they teach CG but that are well known schools?

Thanks

You apply for financial aid for one year, each year. So no, you are not obligated to stay for 4 years.

You’re not obligated to stay, but schools generally don’t give good financial aid to transfers. You’d be better off applying to your dream schools for freshman year, then seeing what they’ll offer you. If there’s a different reason (family, caretaking, etc.) to stay in state, that’s different, but in general… go where you think you’ll fit first, rather than trying to transfer later.

If, for whatever reason, transferring doesn’t work out, another option is to consider doing a year of study abroad.

What is CG?
