questions about Emerson Hall Z rooms

Does anyone know anything about the z rooms in Emerson Hall? In order to pack appropriately, I need the answers to these questions:

1) Approximately how big are the closets?
2) Do the closets have flat floors or sloped floors?
3) How many bureau drawers are there?
4) Do the rooms have mirrors anywhere?
5) Is there overhead lighting of any kind?
6) Do we need to bring any special tools to raise the height of the beds?

Thanks!

The Living at UMass FB page has measurements and nice pictures of most of the dorm furniture. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.207819552593418.46964.150906304951410&type=3</a>
I’m not sure which closet style Emerson has though.

4) I’m not sure about Southwest, but all the other dorms I’ve been in had a small mirror of some sort. In Central, there was a small mirror in the closet. In Orchard Hill, there’s also a small mirror in the little walk-in closet. There was one in the Northeast room I went to too, but I don’t really remember where it was.

5) I’m pretty sure all the dorm rooms have overhead lighting of some sort, but it’s not always great. I would recommend bringing a secondary light if really hate rooms that aren’t perfectly bright.

6) If you’re talking about lofting the beds, no, the school can provide them. If you’re talking about just raising your bed a few inches, the beds are a little adjustable but it can be annoying. If you want anything taller than that you’d have to bring your own stuff for it.

Thank you so much nineum for the information! The measurements on the link you provided was very helpful and much appreciated! :)

If you want to raise the height of your bed, bring something to bang with, like a hammer. It will make your life much easier, as those things can be really hard to adjust just with muscle power.

We’ll bring a hammer, just in case. If the link measurements are correct, things will fit nicely under the bed. Of course, with too much clearance under the bed, it becomes difficult to climb into the bed!

Besides a hammer you might need an adjustable wrench as well if the bedframe is bolted to the headboard.

An adjustable wrench–I’ll write that down!

In southwest the closet gives you 4 drawers. Not sure on the exact dimensions. Also in southwest only do they provide full length mirrors. Usually on the back side of the room near the window
