Questions about Future College

Hey guys…

So, I’ve always wanted to become something that has to do with medicine and I came to the conclusion(currently going to become a high school junior) that I want to go into occupational therapy. That interests me a lot.

I want to know which is the best college for me to go to in order to become a occupational therapist. Like, where should I do my undergrad?

And what are the chances of getting into Princeton for me?

-I have a 3.76 GPA(unweighted).
-I volunteer at this garden center thing(I’ve been doing this for a while now)
-I volunteer at the local hospitals
-I volunteer for this religious/spiritual organization(i’ve been doing this for a loong time)
-I was in a couple of clubs at school and I’ve been in them since the beginning of high school…
-I am taking the SAT for the first time in October and I’m pretty sure I can get a 1900+
-I got a 780 on the Bio SAT and will be taking the Chemistry and Math Level 1 SAT next year
-I’m planning on starting to volunteer at the YMCA too

So, can I make into Princeton or am I aiming too high?
If so, where do you think I can possibly get in? I need to get into a good college please…haha I’m ambitious…

Thank you in advance!

GPA is too low for Princeton. 1900+? Are you kidding? Aim much higher. There are a lot of other colleges to apply to. And just because they are not Princeton doesn’t mean they aren’t good.

General college questions do better in College Search or Admissions forum, this one is sort of guessing games fo00r fun. Certainly you cannot ‘chance’ without SAT scores since they are so important. Princeton is about as high as you can aim, a very selective admit, and 1900 would likely be too low. Admits avg 750 per section.

Since you have pton on your list and the admit rate makes an admit a big reach you should start to build a list, maybe starting with a safety. Also your parents what they can pay and make sure that colleges like pton are going to be affordable and start your research on more likely colleges. I don’t think there is any particular type of school that is necessary for an OT career. I think you just want something that will prepare you well for grad admissions.
