1.) My dad lives in Michigan, but I live in Georgia. I read on CollegeBoard’s website that if one of your parents live in Michigan, regardless of whether they are your custodial parent or not, then you are assumed to be a resident. I know this sounds promising, but I have a gut feeling that its too good to be true. So does anyone have any knowledge/experience in this?

2.)When does UMich’s application come out? And UMich-Dearborn’s app come out at the same time?

3.)At UMich-Dearborn, is it somewhat easier to get accepted?

I believe U-M requires that BOTH parents reside in Michigan…

“both parents/parents-in-law (in the case of divorce, one parent/parent-in-law) permanently domiciled in Michigan as demonstrated by permanent employment in the state, establishment of a primary household in Michigan, and severance of out-of-state ties. Applicant must also show severance of out-of-state ties.”
