questions about SAT subject tests

yale competes mainly with harvard and princeton, which both require 3 subjects tests. by doing only 2, can i send a subtle signal that i don’t intend to apply to those 2?

if i choose something like us history and maths ii, does that make me look ‘unfocused’? or is ‘lack of focus’ only a concern for ecs?

thanks in advance

1) i don’t know
2) no- diversity of subjects shows that you can cope with different fields of studies

P changed it’s SAT II requirement this year:

[Princeton University | Standardized Testing](http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/standardized_testing/#comp000046cc511c0000000c3c18e5)

"Required Tests

When applying for admission to Princeton, you must submit official scores for either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT (with Writing, where available). All applicants must also take two SAT Subject Tests. "

Won’t make a difference.

I like to see diversity in SAT IIs, but that’s just my preference, no empirical evidence.

thanks for the answers.

i kinda guessed that there was nothing to worry about, but i can’t help being paranoid when it comes to yale.
