<p>The common ap will have a brand new format and you can start it Aug 2012. Ask those teachers you want to send your rec: one math/science and one eng/history as they are to be from teachers who teach solids. Ask them before school ends so they will expect your request. When the common app opens you go to the school forms area (which I have no idea how it will be arranged) and there you send the request via the teachers email to provide a rec for you. </p>
<p>Go to your counselor now and find out how your school handles sending everything. Some schools upload it all and everything goes via the common app (ours did). Some schools want to snail mail everything. If a school does not use the common app, then it has to be mailed to the school. The universal app is like the common app but does not have as many schools. You can check their list when you have decided yours to see if it is worth fussing with. Good luck early planner :)</p>
