I got waitlisted at 3 schools - Duke, Johns Hopkins, and Columbia.
Couple of questions:

1) I applied Biomedical Engineering to all the schools - am I waitlisted for that major (since it is one of the most competitive majors, especially at Johns Hopkins) ?

2) I want to call the admissions offices of the schools - how do I tell them that I am still really interested?

I’m also thinking of sending like a one-page supplementary info sheet…

It usually depends on what the waitlist letter says. If the waitlist letter does not mention, call the school and ask.

As for confirming your interest, it’s recommended to send a letter briefly explaining why you are interested in the school, why it is a good match for you and highlight on recent achievements.

This year is a heavy waitlist year and colleges may have to dig deep into their waitlist after May from what I have heard. Good luck!
