I am a freshman and I have no idea where I’ll live next year.
So, I was wondering how rushing for selective living groups worked.
Is it easy to get into one of the selective living groups?

What are some characteristics of living groups such as Brownstone, Round Table, Maxwell,
and Mirecourt?

DeltaRoyale is correct. Mirecourt already states it is through it’s second round and has already declined rushees. Don’t wait any longer and look at their websites. Perhaps it is not too late for some of the selective living groups.

Here is a link to the website for Brownstone:

The Mirecourt website is old…it appears that it hasn’t been updated since Jan 22 2007. Rush for selective living groups has just begun, with most groups having had their first open house last Thursday and beginning their events this week.

I don’t know about Brownstone, because I’m abroad right now, but we’re all really chill so don’t hesitate to ask someone if it’ll make a difference.

Because you’re thinking about it so late, make sure you talk to other members of the SLG outside of organized activities to make up for it.

SHARE doesn’t reject people, from what I’ve heard; it’s very self-selecting.

I sincerely hope that whatever happens, you’ll be happy. A lot of my friends haven’t been happy blocking and are rushing their sophomore year to be in an SLG next year, so I really hope that something works out for you. Not to scare you or anything… but independent life on West (although varies from person to person) has been known to be a little lonely.
