Questions for Cornell Students ...

I know I just keep asking questions, but I have three more:

1) How common is it for classes w/in CALS (and Cornell in general) to have exams and/or quizzes online? My college does this super annoying thing where we’ll have timed online quizzes almost nightly in Chemsitry… they suck!

2) What is the general format for exams in small classes? Large classes? The largest classes here use almost solely multiple choice. I know it’s not really an answerable question, but please try.

3) Do most professors learn their students names/recognize their faces? Generally how long does it take?

I know those are odd questions, but please humor a terrified/inquisitive prospective CALS transfer!
Thanks!

I’m not in CALS but I think it’s generally true here that:

1) Not sure, I haven’t heard of any
2) Exams usually aren’t heavy on multiple choice, even in large classes.
3) Profs will recognize your face/learn your name if you talk to them frequently, maybe to ask a question after lecture or go in for office hours.
