Dramaqueen,
DD and I are planning a visit to BU in April and were wondering if you would be interested in answering a couple of questions for us. We live very near New Albany and have some travel related questions (and others) @ BU. Would prefer to communicate via email or pm (I notice you don’t have pm enabled) but if you prefer not, we understand. Thanks! momnipotent

I'm another buckeye BU'er.... I'm from Upper Arlington

Nicole- Have you visited campus yet??

Wow, you guys are all from a little farther north than me... Im from Kettering (near Dayton).

momnipotent - I will answer any and all questions you have! Feel free to pm me (I'm about to go enable it) and I'll give you my email address.

I'm actually a Junior here at BU. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Nicole! What are you majoring in? (To Nicole and dramaqueen) Are there lots of requirements to gradute that interfere with the nember of electives you want to take?

Woohoo Ohio!

I'm a TV/Film major in COM. I'm not sure about interfering with electives, but I like all my liberal arts classes that I need to take. You get most of them done your freshman and sophomore years, so you have time to take major classes in your junior and senior years.

@dramaqueen22 - how do you like the tv/film program there? that's what i'm going to be doing if i go to BU, so feel free to share the good, bad -- whatever you want, really, about it! thanks

I'm a mathematics and philosophy major (it's a joint concentration). Although sometimes the requirements can be a bit annoying (simply because there is another amazing course one wants to take), most professors make the classes enjoyable and students tend to finish them within 2 years. There are a lot of fun options to get things out of the way. I recommend checking the course bulletin on BU's website to get a feel for yourself on what is required. I'm actually completing my spanish requirement right now (something that I dreaded), but my professor is so amazing that I have gone from hating spanish to loving it and understanding the language in an incredibly new/better way. So even the classes that initially seem annoying can end up being extremely worthwhile. This school is swarming with amazing professors, and ratemyprofessors.com also comes in handy and makes things easier.
