questions from a waitlistee

Do any of you know if Tufts will be taking students off the waitlist this year–and what percentage of the students?

As you might have inferred from the previous question, I was wait listed there. I was also accepted to Cooper Union for art. I really want a serious art education–however, I also want a strong liberal arts education (especially in English and creative writing). That is about 90% of the reason why I chose Tufts–because they are a rigorous liberal arts school affiliated with a fine arts school, SMFA. I’m having a lot of trouble determining where I will choose to go if I am accepted off the waitlist…because in spite of the fact that Cooper is an art school, (a) I hear Cooper has strong academics (b) additionally, I will be taking creative writing classes at Columbia and doing my best to get involved with the writing community on that campus. Anybody have verdicts, answers, suggestions? How is the art program at SMFA?
I guess what I’m trying to figure out is which experience will ultimately help me attain my artistic, literary, intellectual and creative goals the most. If any of you have input, please voice it… thank you!

I have heard from a coach that there has been no word on the waiting list, yet… I think that they will like almost every other thing school in the country and we will probably find out with in the next few weeks. However if you do get into Tufts, don’t go to Copper Union, you interests can always change and a strong education will help you later in life.
