So I’ve been reading many posts and realized that lots of people wrote their essays really creatively. But for my Why Penn essay, I started with a good hook and then the essay basically lapsed into straight-forward, matter-of-fact language. I basically said A,B,C at Penn attracts me and I will contribute to the greater academic community at Penn by doing A,B,C and participating in extracurriculars such as A,B,C and I like Penn because of its cultural diversity shown in A,B,C…
My optional essay was also written in a rather same tone. I basically described my family’s situation and how it affected me… I answered the prompt in a very straight-forward manner and described how my identity was affected by my background and how it affected my day to day experience.
I guess my only creative spurt came in my Common App long essay where I described this violin solo in front of thousands of people…and how I overcame it… but my worries with this essay is that I didn’t really analyze my thoughts but rather depicted the whole picture stylistically… but even this essay does not stand out

I’m just worried about my essays…I think I will be rejected early decision… for my regular essays, should I change them and try to write more creatively? Thanks!!
