Questions regarding deciding schools.

So I’m finally getting out of my community college after 2 years and already got accepted into four UCs already! Currently, I have UCI, UCSC, UCSB, and UCSD in my list. I’m still waiting on UCLA, USC, and Berkeley. I applied as a film major for UCSB and history for UCSD. One issue I’ve been having was actually DECIDING on what school is best suited for me. I like both majors equally but cannot seem to come with a final decision regarding which. Is the history department for UCSD good? Thanks!

SB and SD tend to have pretty different campus cultures, with SB much more of a laid back party school and SD more science oriented and buttoned down. These are just generalities, but schools do have their different personalities.

You might want to ask your question about History at UCSD on the UCSD sub-forum since it’s a general question and not one limited to transfer students.

They’re all great schools, good luck!

I would take UCSD strictly on prestige.

but wait for USC’s response! their film program is WORLD FAMOUS. I know that George Lucas graduated from their film school.
