questions regarding GPA,grade replacement for UC transfer

I’m applying to UC Santa Cruz, SFSU, Humboldt State, and a few cal states. MY GPA is only a 2.4 right now because I’ve failed some classes for the IGETC which I have either taken over and gotten a better grade or took another equal class to fill the requirement.
For the majority of Community colleges, what is their policy about deleting or replacing grades? Do they replace D’s, or F’s? I know it’s a long shot, but can they get rid of any classes that I didnt need on my transcript?

And When I was calculating my GPA only based on the classes I’m using for fulful the IGETC and major prerequisites, it showed my GPA being a 2.8. Will a UC look at my GPA in terms of those classes only or in terms of my entire transcript?

If you’ve failed or received a D, and retaken the same class at community college, the UCs will take the higher grade (C or better)

But depending on the college, you might need to fill out a course repetion form. In some cases, the college will do it for you, but you need to double check.

Academic renewal would be your best shot at “getting rid” of classes you did poorly in, as long as it was 2 years ago (I think…)

When your’e calculating GPA, you need to find out which classes transfer to UC by using assist. Sometimes pre-req classes will transfer over as well, although it may not satisfy any major requirements. ALL classes that transfer over to UC will be calculated into your UC GPA.
