<p>The issue is you need to buy the right to bids, so you can buy a number of bids, use them and lose. Maybe at some point you might win an item but your actual cost of course includes the bids in all those other auctions you lost. I wouldn’t call it a pure scam as much as a way to prey on the gullible. I define a pure scam as like those “male enhancers” sold that are nothing. I remember learning about a teenager from NH who ran one of those scams.</p>
