Junior Achievement - 3 years *vp senior year

the list goes on

I love how extracurricular clubs now have VP’s. Adds a little fluff to your list. I saw one post where one person was Vice President for External Relations at a club. All that being said I would think you have an excellent shot. Does being a white Jewish male help or hurt though?

haha, there were something called “Chinese Culture Club” in my high school.
Basically, what they did was meet once a month and had a chinese food.
Interesting thing was, out of 9 members, 1 was president, 1 was secretary, 1 was tresurer, and 6 were VPs.

decent chance. in the future it is not a good thing that the list goes on and on. you should rather a few things that you are committed to and have gradually progressed up the ranks over a long period of time. best of luck

heyy sorry i don’t have any comments on where you stand because im still a 9th grader. I’m thinking of starting an investment club at my school, but i don’t know where to start. Could you give me any ideas? Like, what do you guys do everytime you meet? =). thnxx

hey i think u got a good shot… btw calvin i actaully as a senior just started an investment club type of thing, though ours is really more focused on overall economics. so far we’re doing this virtual stock exchange thing and we’re tyring to find speakers who can tell us more about this type of thing, i mean like a family friend who works in an investment firm or something. we’re also actually goign to go take a tour of ING and listen to the ppl there talk… idk theres alot of things to do . you should def have refreshments though :)

Yeah we have members parents who work in the markets come in every friday morning to speak to us about things other than just stocks. Many talk about ETFs, mutual funds, real estate, etc. We also do the virtual stock market game. It’s pretty laid back, but the speakers are usually great

I am the president and founder of my school’s investment club; I got the CEO of a firm to speak, and from there I was able to invite a few other people within the firm to speak, as well as managers of a few funds.
