Quick Change Please

I am an out of state student, I need quite a bit of fianncial aid, and I have not yet applied.

Aoso another disadvantage is tha tmy school is prety small and doesent offer a lot of AP classes or a very hard curiculum. I took the hardest classes possible though

GPA-3.975 (UW)
Rank 2/151 (Weighted) 4/151 (UW)
ACT-32. Math-36, English-29, Science-31, Reading-30
EC’s-
Band, Drama Club (Treasurer Juinor Year) Leadership Council, Class Treasurer Junior and Senior Year, NHS, A lot of community Service through my church.

Your GPA is impressive, but your ACT score and extra curriculars are not spectacular, and while you might get some amount of financial aid, being an out of state student it is almost certain that you will not receive “quite a bit” of it.

Grades are great, and so is ACT. UM ally looks at GPA and rigor of curriculum- if you are taking the most challenging program available, then your school report and GC letter should reflect that. OOS acceptance rate expected to be about 20% this year. I agree with the financial aid part- I don’t think you’ll qualify for as much compared to a private college hat is 100% need blind. Best of luck to you.

I’m pretty sure you would be accepted, but I doubt you will qualify for any merit aid. You will just have to apply and see.
