<p>If a school asks for 250-500 words, or 300-400 words, etc… will it hurt me to submit an essay of 700 words?</p>

<p>well 250 was just for a vip app so scratch that… but UMD asks for 350-500 and Miami asks for 300-400</p>
<p>thanks, i’ve had a bit of a debate about whether colleges state to have around 500 words or if it’s just a rule of thumb</p>
