<p>Say my EFC is 30,000 and the school costs around 45,000, so there would be a 15,000 difference. If I get an academic scholarship for around 10,000 would the school then only help me for the last five or would they give me loans/grants for the 15k as well as the 10k scholarship? If this makes any sense to anyone. Any help is appreciated!</p>
<p>Colleges calculate and apply financial aid differently, hence it is prudent to call the financial aid at each institution and ask them directly how they handle the situation you described. Many do take away aid and loans, others do not!! Knowledge is power!</p>
