<p>I’m going to be taking orgo at Harvard over the summer and I was just wondering how big the campus is. How long is the longest walk from the dorms to class/the gym/groceries? (BTW: I don’t know what dorm they will put me in) Do any of you recommend bikes?</p>

<p>If you’re a high school student housed in the Yard, bikes are totally unnecessary. Otherwise, some people use them, but not usually to get to class. Bike riding is not allowed in the Yard. You probably won’t be buying groceries because you will have very limited cooking facilities and an unlimited meal plan. The longest possible walk from classes to dorms is something like 3/4 of a mile. The gyms are pretty well located.</p>
