Quick question regarding letter of recommendation

is it ok if i give my teachers the evaluation forms for them to start writing my letter of recommendation if i haven’t made an account with the school? i’m applying to columbia ED and i haven’t signed up to start applying , but can i print out the forms and give them to my teacher?

thanks for your hellp!

Yes, you can give them to the teachers now. But you probably should start your online app/registration now, so your account is officially opened with Columbia. They will need your SS# to start collating your admissions folder. You don’t want them to lose your recs if they arrive before your account is set up.

ok thanks!!. and as soon as my parents recover a litle economically i will begin my online app!

Good luck! And, have you considered asking your guidance counselor to fill out a fee waiver form for you? If your family is experienceing economic hardships, the form can waive all application fees.

i used to qualify for fee waivers but my parents made more money last year so i no longer did :frowning: but thanks anyway!

another question, is a month enough time for teachers to write the letters??
