Quick question?

Hi,
I am currently enrolled at the University of Nevada Reno. My senior year of high school I took the ACT and missed getting into English 101 at UNR by 1 point. I got put in their ENG 098 class which is a prepatory class aka a high school class. I have failed it twice due to no motivation because I feel misplaced in the class, like i’m above it. So my question is, after taking 2 semesters of ENG 098 and failing. Is there any way that i can retake the ACT to see if would place into the 101 class?
Thanks

That’s a question specific to your college’s rules, so I’m moving this question to the College Life Forum. It’s not a good situation for you that you have failed the class twice before. Good luck in picking up your performance and moving on to more challenging classes.

One extra point is no so insignificant on the SAT. Failing an “easy” class does not look good, especially when you fail twice. You should definitely talk to an advisor at your school. Are those "F"s being calculted into your college GPA? Also, I don’t think any advisor / instructor would want to override the the test requirement so you can take a more challanging course.

my guess would be that you can take it, but considering how far away the date could be and the length of time to get back results, why not take a summer class and pass it?

Thats very bad. With all due respect, you will just look like an immature quitter who is either stupid or just pouts.
